Tuner Jam is IASCA's car show format. Similar to a "show & shine" competition, Tuner Jam competition judging is based on a points scoring system for exterior, interior, engine performance and modifications, sound system and security, as well as presentation and display.
There are 3 Main Divisions in Tuner Jam competition; they are:
-
Rookie - (Mild) Rookie Division is for vehicles that have simple modifications and have an enhanced factory "look". It allows competitors to have upgrades like wheels, tires, vinyl graphics, short wing and simple stereo upgrades.
-
Street - (Semi-Wild) Street Division is designed for vehicles with more modifications than a Rookie vehicle, but the vehicle is still used as a daily driver and does not have the extent of madifications that a "wild" vehicle has. It provides a fair and competitive class that levels out the playing field between daily driven vehicles and those with elaborate modifications.
-
Ultimate - (Wild) Ultimate Division is for vehicles with extensive performance and cosmetic modifications, designed for show, demo and trailered vehicles. Scoring for Ultimate Division vehicles is based on traditional Tuner Jam scoring and includes additional point values for creativity and originality.
Classes in Tuner Jam will vary, dependent upon the size of the event. At some events, classes can be broken down into vehicle types (Asian, American, European) and at larger events the classes can be broken down even further to include vehicle style (car, truck, mini-truck, SUV/van, motorcycle) or even manufacturer type (Ford, GM, Honda, Toyota, etc.). Tuner Jam is designed to work for all sizes of events so anyone can host an event and offer awards at a reasonable cost.
