Canadians have been involved with IASCA almost since its inception, since about 1990. Although Canada has never been a separate affiliate country in IASCA Worldwide's Affiliate Groups, it has been one of the strongest regions in IASCA USA for the last 15 years.
American IASCA events, such as the IASCA World Finals and the Spring Break Nationals, have always seen strong contingents of Canadian competitors over the years and Canada has produced numerous IASCA World Champions, such as Ralph Benedetti, Holly Mungel, Jamie Edmundson, Emmanuel (Bubba) Beja and many others.
