What is IASCA?
IASCA is many things; but, first and foremost, we are a marketing organization dedicated to the proliferation and growth of the mobile electronics industry. Our goal is to offer all levels of mobile electronics lovers a way to help our industry grow, so that we may all succeed.
What we mean to different people is unique to their status within this industry; the following gives you a brief description of who and what we are to those different people...
What is IASCA to the Car & Music Enthusiast?
To the car and music enthusiast, IASCA is an organization that offers information to educate them about the car audio community. This site is in essence a "My Space" for car audio lovers, including forums, blogs, photos, videos, how to's, stats and ways to further their knowledge of car audio and improve their sound systems.
What is IASCA to the Competitor?
To our competitors, we are a sanctioning organization that offers the most comprehensive set of rules for Sound Quality, SPL and car show judging. Our rules are the standard for car audio competition in over 26 countries around the world and continue to raise the bar when it comes to building the best car audio entertainment systems.
Our competitor members are part of a unique and loyal group that give of themselves to help others interested in our "sport".
What is IASCA to the Car Audio Dealer?
To our dealers, we are a symbol of professionalism and a set of standards that they can follow, to succeed and grow with. With intense sales programs designed to help dealers establish themselves as the pros in their market area, they can show their customers that quality of sales, service and installation is more than something that is just spoken, but acted on by those that are proud to hang the IASCA Authorized Dealer banner in their stores.
IASCA offers these programs only to independent retail dealers; you will never see an IASCA banner hung in a box store, or on an internet retailer's website. Our goal is to re-establish the level of professionalism where it belongs, in the hands of those who specialize in car audio sales and installations; the independent retailer.
Our dealers are also empowered with the ability to host IASCA sanctioned soundoffs (car audio competitions) for not only our members, but for their customers too. Our competition formats are designed for not only the veteran competitors, but for the newcomers as well, giving everyone a "place to play"!
What is IASCA to the Manufacturer?
To our manufacturers, we are an information superhighway; our members assist us with showing the manufacturers what is "hot" and what is "not". Valuable information from our databases allow manufacturers to see what car audio lovers are looking for in their car audio equipment and where they are looking for it.
Along with that, our sanctioned soundoffs around the world give manufacturers a venue in which to showcase their products to the public. Promotion is tough enough these days; while the internet may allow manufacturers to say "Hey, here we are!", it does not show customers how well their product performs in real world conditions; and that's where IASCA and our sanctioned soundoff events come into play.
So as you can see, we're many different things to many different people. We are a multi-faceteted organization that is doing all it can to help our industry survive and grow. As we move into the future, we will continue to adapt to the needs of our industry and offer everyone "The Standard By Which Great Mobile Electronics Performance Is Measured."
