    New to the forum...Box suggestion?

Hey guys, I'm new here. Just wanted to introduce myself and get some opinions. I have an 02 sebring sedan that I want to rebuild the system in. Right now I have 4 Kicker L7 10's in 2 separate sealed boxes, anout .7 cubes each. They're being pushed with a Crunch P2500 right now (the amp was pushing 2 audiobahn 12's until I pulled the Kickers out of my truck and put them in the car).

What would be the best way to go: keep the 4 10's and do a ported box at rougly 1.25 cubes per sub, to say 35Hz, or mabey do just two or three subs.

Once I figure out the sub configuration I'll be getting different amps to feed them with around 500w each.

What would give me better numbers and sound good for everyday music? I want to get back in to some competitions since I've been out of the loop for a while. The last time I ran was with my Dakota with the same 4 10's and I hit 141.0 sealed (0.7 cubes each) with 2 Profile 1200SX amps (600w RMS each).

you would probally be louder with 2 of them in a ported box but those subs are not exactly known to sound the best.

I was thinking of trying just 2 or even 3 to start with. Whatever I do they will be ported. I personally love the way my Kickers sound. I've had all kinds of different subs in the past but everything I've owned has ended up with Kicker subs eventually. Thanks for the suggestion!

    Hi There

Here in SA guys are getting around 145 with 2 x 10" subs in a box with no partions and 2 x 3" ports with a 1200watt amp.
