In.car.EXPO announces “INSTALLER 5K” dealer contest with $5,000 cash prize
The inaugural East Coast Mobile Electronics Industry Trade Event of the Season being held at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach on March 21st and 22nd, 2015 is focused on retailers, their ability to build systems and install today’s car audio technology, by hosting a contest to crown the country’s top installation facility build with a $5,000 prize for their work.
“The goal is to show the public and industry the quality of work and experience that retailers possess” stated Paul Papadeas, President of in.car.EXPO “Each vehicle will have its own 15X20 display area; we will have a banner made depicting the store info, the vehicle and system, along with a description of the vehicle and highlights of the build for spectators and other retailers to see. The builds will then be evaluated and the top installation will be awarded the $5,000 prize.”
“The INSTALLER 5K contest will also give retailers a chance to network with each other about builds and business” said Moe Sabourin, Director of Operations at IASCA Worldwide Inc. and INSTALLER 5K coordinator “Another advantage to the retailer is being able to re-acclimate themselves to IASCA rules for installation, which are the standard in 34 countries. It helps raise the bar for quality installations; both the customer and the dealer win when better quality work is performed on their vehicles.”
SBN EXPO GROUP LLC, producers of in.car.EXPO, has dedicated one third of the show floor to the INSTALLER 5K dealer contest. Dealers will submit their vehicle/system information to in.car.EXPO for approval; the top 50 installs will be displayed on the show floor and evaluated by three IASCA Certified Installation Judges to determine a winner.
Dealers can submit their store’s ‘signature’ vehicle or a customer build they created. The vehicle/system build must meet certain criteria in order to be approved for entry into the contest. The winner will be announced and the prize presented at the trade show awards ceremony on Sunday evening, March 22, 2015.
